This page details all areas of the Fret Tester Reports, for more on Fret Tester visit the Fret Tester Page.

Fret Tester ReportsThe reports are divided into two sections, a fretboard chart and a report summary. The fretboard chart shows colored dots for any fret that has received a significant amount of quizzing (at least four questions are required to show information on a given fret). If the report doesn't show much information continue playing so Fret Tester can make an basement. The dots are color coded into five categories. They range from red, which means that you have done very well on an area, to blue which means you need work. You might also notice holes in the report. That can happen if you have never played with sharps or flats turned on.

The Report Summary takes various areas of the neck and offers a summary. This is a great way to determine what position and/or string is your weakest and allows you to pinpoint problems with accuracy. The summary includes information for three positions, the first (open strings to fourth fret), the fifth (fifth fret to eighth), and the ninth (ninth to twelfth fret). It also summarizes each string for the whole neck, and individually for each position.

The Reports Page also contains a "Print" button to print out the report, and a "Reset" button should you want to clear report information for any reason. Reports can also be turned off by going to the Settings Page
